How Blended Learning Works
How Blended Learning Works
You move at your pace before class – study the theory on a phone or computer in your own time first. Then you practise with a trainer to lock the skills in.
Finish on the day. Support is close by if you get stuck, so questions never pile up.
RTO Status and Standards
Skillmate is a Registered Training Organisation. Each unit and qualification lists the official code and assessment is fair and timely.

Course Format and Timing
Course Format and Timing
Small groups mean more time on the manikins and less time wasted waiting around. Theory happens first through blended learning and practical sessions are face-to-face.
Sessions are short and focused and you will be sent the session plan before you arrive. There are evening and weekend options available so you can work around your other plans and responsibilities.

Assessment and Certification
When you meet the standard, you receive a:
Statement of Attainment: HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
You will need to complete a short knowledge check and demonstrate CPR and AED skills on manikins. Results are issued once all tasks are marked and recorded.
CPR should be renewed every 12 months to stay current and compliant. We can send gentle reminders so you never miss your next refresh.

Entry and Fitness to Train
You need a USI (Unique Student Identifier) and remember to bring a photo ID.
The standard for assessment stays the same for everyone. You will need to kneel on the floor and perform chest compressions. Please tell the team before class if kneeling is hard for you.
You will need to wear comfortable clothing and closed shoes. Reasonable adjustments may be possible to support learning and assessment.
